From various vineyard sites in Fläsch and Maienfeld. Several clones are fermented together, primarily combining old Swiss clones and Burgundy clones. Le Petit is crafted with a full structure and vibrant Pinot Noir characteristics. The Pinot Noir Le Petit is initially fermented in stainless steel tanks with 10% whole clusters. Seven months of aging in new and used barriques accentuates the fruit, while the fine tannins give this Pinot Noir the necessary structure. It exudes wonderful aromas of wild berries, mingling with the scent of blueberries and raspberries. The barrique influence is very subtle, perceiving it more as a layer of spice. The wine powerfully engages the palate, asserting its presence and gliding along elegantly. Its structure is of impressive quality, with relatively youthful tannins. The acidity is beautifully integrated. The finish, spicy and crisp, leaves you wanting another sip.
